* "Days to the Start of Your Cruise" means the date the arrangements Guest has booked with Carrier (including any flights, hotels pre- and post-Cruise Land Adventures, etc.) commence.

  


** If Guest cancels a Cruise reservation during this timeframe, Carrier will refund any monies paid for the Cruise, less the administrative fee and any additional non-refundable amounts Carrier incurred on Guest’s behalf. As a courtesy, Carrier may issue Guest a future cruise credit (FCC) equal to the same amount and in the same currency as the administrative fee. The FCC will be valid for two years from the date of issue and can be applied to any new individual booking on a Cruise scheduled to commence no later than one year from the FCC’s expiration date. The FCC may not be used for incentive group bookings or sailings offered for sale by third parties (commonly referred to as resale “charters”). The FCC will not be transferable, retains no cash value, and will be forfeited if not used prior to the expiration date.

“Essential Fares”

“Essential Fares” are available on select cruises, in USD, per guest, based on double-occupancy. Essential fare is a “Cruise Only” fare which does not include any pre- or post-travel arrangements such as flights, hotels, and transfers. Flights, hotels and transfers cannot be purchased through Silversea and should be booked independently. Shore excursions (except for Expedition Cruises) are not included and can be purchased on “My Silversea” after booking or during the cruise. Essential fare is non-refundable in case of cancellation.

“Essential Fares” Penalty Schedule:

The cancellation of the booking or nonappearance at the time of sailing: 100% of the total cruise fare per person.

"All-Inclusive Plus fares" are available in USD dollars, per guest, based on double-occupancy and included Shore Excursion Credit for Oceangoing voyages, based on the length and region of your voyage. Expedition voyages include all landings and Shore Excursions.

“All-Inclusive fares” are exclusively available on Oceangoing voyages, in USD, per guest, based on double-occupancy. “All-Inclusive fares” is a “Cruise Only” fare which does not include any pre- or post-travel arrangements such as flights, hotels, and transfers. It does not include shore excursions which may be purchased on “My Silversea” after booking or during the cruise, at the guest’s own expense. ALL RESERVATIONS MADE UNDER THE ALL INCLUSIVE FARE ARE SUBJECT TO A NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT, WHICH WILL NOT BE RETURNED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES ONCE THE RESERVATION IS CONFIRMED.

 

“Last Minute Fares”

Last Minute fare is a “Cruise Only” fare which does not include any pre- or post-travel arrangements such as flights, hotels, and transfers. It does not include shore excursions (except on Expedition where the expedition package is included) which may be purchased on “My Silversea” after booking or during the cruise, at the guest’s own expense. ALL HOLIDAYS BOOKED WITH THE LAST MINUTE FARE ARE SUBJECT TO A 100% CANCELLATION FEE FROM THE DATE OF BOOKING.

All tips are included in the cruise fare. Additional tipping is not expected.
Pregnant women who have entered the 24th week of estimated fetal gestational age at any time during the cruise should not be eligible to sail with the ship. It is Silversea policy that any Guest who will have entered her 24th week of pregnancy or greater, at any time during the cruise, will be prohibited from sailing. The Guest and treating physician should consider before any cruise that there is no Obstetrician/Gynecologist available on the ship, and that pregnancy, when unstable and poorly controlled, is potentially life-threatening, especially without back up. A Guest may be at sea for several days without any immediate hospital and/or specialist back up, and that since the proposed itinerary is not within the U.S., and the availability of specialized shore side facilities can be problematic. All guests are required to sign a health questionnaire at check-in to ensure they are aware of our pregnancy policy.

Silversea cruise guidelines state that children under the age of 18 must be accompanied, in the same or connecting suite, by a parent or other responsible adult over the age of 21 for the duration of the voyage. If the adult accompanying the minor is not their parent, a parental consent guardianship form must be signed by a parent or legal guardian and received by Silversea prior to sailing. Please contact our Special Services Department at [email protected] for a Parental Consent Form. Guests must be 21 years of age or older to purchase or consume alcohol. Silversea reserves the right to refuse to serve anyone who in its sole judgment may be under the influence of alcohol, or for any reason necessary in its judgement to preserve the health and safety of guests and employees.

Silver Cloud, Silver Wind, Silver Shadow, Silver Whisper and Silver Spirit cannot accommodate infants under the age of 6 months. Guests must notify Silversea of any children between the ages of 6 months and 1 year who will be sailing on board the ship. A signed and notarised waiver will be required for all children between these ages. Children under the age of 8 years old are only permitted to participate in suitable Silver Shore Excursions / shuttle service if the vehicles are equipped with the correct safety harness and seating equipment. Child harnesses and secure seating cannot be guaranteed. Silversea reserves the right to refuse children under the age of 8 years old on any tour on the basis of safety. Guests may use their own approved safety seat, booster seat or harness provided they are compatible with the local touring vehicle and can properly secure the child.

Silver Explorer and Silver Cloud: Carrier is unable to accommodate children less than one (1) year of age. No children under the age of five (5) years will be allowed onboard Zodiacs®. Children under the age of five (5) years will be unable to participate in any expeditions which require the use of Zodiac® transfer to go ashore. As Silversea does not provide babysitting services, an adult family member will be required to remain on board Silver Explorer with their child(ren) during Zodiac excursions.

There are no special programmes for children of any age on board, and Silversea does not provide for the care, entertainment or supervision of children. Silversea reserves the right to limit the number of children less than 3 years of age.
At Silversea, the comfort, enjoyment, and safety of all guests is paramount. Most areas on board are non-smoking, and, as a safety precaution, smoking is not permitted in guests suites or guest suite verandas or balconies and in all public areas, lounges and bars. However, cigarette, cigar, electronic cigarette and pipe smoking is permitted only in the Connoisseur’s Corner and in specifically designated areas. These areas include designated tables and seating outside of the Panorama Lounge and the Pool Bar, as well as on open Decks 9 and 10 aboard Silver Spirit, Silver Whisper, Silver Shadow, Silver Muse and Silver Moon; on open Deck 9 aboard Silver Cloud and Silver Wind; in specifically-designated outside areas on Decks 5 and 6 aboard Silver Explorer and deck 7 aboard Silver Origin.
