According to Norse legend, Alsvin is one of the two horses that pulls the sun across the sky in a chariot driven by Sol. The name Alsvin means "very swift." The other horse is called Arvakr, whose name means "early riser."

The middle deck reception lobby area is a great place to get information during your journey. Your Program Director’s desk is located here so that you can easily ask questions or discuss the day’s activities. There are a 24-hour tea and coffee station with a fruit basket and convenient restrooms.
