Two names that rarely appear in the same sentence — luxury ocean cruising and championship golf — are now sharing the spotlight. Silversea Cruises has announced a formal partnership with PerryGolf, an international specialist in golf travel, to launch a dedicated series of golf-themed voyages in 2027 and 2028. The program puts guests on the greens of some of the most celebrated courses in the British Isles, the Mediterranean, Australia, and New Zealand, while keeping all the hallmarks of Silversea's all-inclusive luxury product firmly in place.

For golfers who have always had to choose between a proper golf trip and a luxury cruise vacation, the new PerryGolf Voyages program effectively removes that tradeoff entirely.

What the Partnership Delivers: Golf Logistics, Fully Managed

The premise of the program is straightforward: Silversea handles the ocean voyage and onboard experience, while PerryGolf manages every aspect of the golf itinerary at each port. That division of responsibility matters, because organizing tee times, transportation, equipment, caddies, and course access at internationally recognized venues across multiple countries is a genuinely complex undertaking for any individual traveler to arrange independently.

Under the partnership, each golf package includes guaranteed tee times and green fees at every scheduled course, luxury motor coach transfers between the ship and the course, and hands-free baggage handling for golf equipment from the moment guests board at embarkation through to departure at the end of the voyage. A dedicated PerryGolf Program Manager travels with the group throughout and is present at every course, providing on-site coordination and course knowledge at each destination.

Practice facilities and range balls are available where the venues permit. Boxed lunches and beverages are provided at the course. A relaxed one-day tournament format, complete with awards, adds a light competitive element for guests who want it. Onboard, welcome and farewell receptions with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, as well as golfer social gatherings that are open to non-golfing partners traveling on the same voyage, round out the program.

All gratuities for golf-related staff, including drivers and bag handlers, are covered within the package.

The Courses: A World Tour of Championship Golf

The course list assembled for the inaugural PerryGolf Voyages program reads like a bucket list for any serious golfer. The itineraries span three geographic regions, each offering a distinct collection of venues.

British Isles and Scotland

The Southampton round-trip in August 2027 features some of the most storied turf in the game. Royal Liverpool Golf Club, located at Hoylake on the Wirral Peninsula in England, is one of The Open Championship's rotation hosts and one of only a small number of links courses in the world to have hosted the event more than a dozen times. Prince's Golf Club in Kent, perched on the shoreline of Sandwich Bay, hosted The Open in 1932 and remains a challenging links test on the English coast.

The itinerary also takes guests northward to Portstewart Golf Club on the Causeway Coast of Northern Ireland, Cabot Highlands in Scotland (Cabot's first European property, located in the Highlands near Inverness), and Dumbarnie Links, a modern links course on the east coast of Fife overlooking the Firth of Forth. The combination of historic Open venues and newer marquee properties gives the itinerary a range that covers both golf history and contemporary course design.

Mediterranean and Spain

The Barcelona round-trip in October and November 2027 shifts the setting to mainland Europe and the Balearic Islands, with a course list centered on Camiral's Stadium Course in the Girona region of Catalonia. Camiral is scheduled to host the Ryder Cup in 2031, making it one of the most significant new additions to the European golf calendar, and playing it before it becomes a Ryder Cup venue carries a certain appeal for golf enthusiasts. Las Colinas Golf and Country Club in the Murcia region of southeastern Spain, Son Gual on Mallorca, and Club de Golf Alcanada, also on Mallorca's northeastern coast above Alcudia Bay, complete the Spanish program.

Australia and New Zealand

The Sydney-to-Auckland voyage in January and February 2028 offers the longest itinerary of the initial collection at 14 nights, and the course list reflects the Southern Hemisphere's own remarkable golf landscape. Tasmania Golf Club, situated on the island state south of mainland Australia, is followed by the New Zealand portion of the voyage, which takes in Otago Golf Club, Royal Wellington Golf Club, Cape Kidnappers, and Kauri Cliffs. Cape Kidnappers and Kauri Cliffs are both consistently ranked among the world's top 100 courses and represent the high-end design legacy of Tom Doak and David Harman respectively. Playing both in a single voyage, with a luxury ship as the hotel, is an access proposition that would be difficult to replicate independently.

What Silversea and PerryGolf Said

Silversea President Bert Hernandez framed the partnership as a natural extension of the cruise line's existing approach to destination experiences. In a statement, he said Silversea is built around giving guests access to experiences that most travel cannot deliver, and described the PerryGolf program as applying that same standard to golf: placing guests on celebrated courses with every detail managed and every comfort in place.

PerryGolf CEO Alex Shattuck noted that his company has spent close to three decades building golf cruise experiences in destinations recognized as the world's premier golfing regions, and that the Silversea partnership creates a more elevated platform for that expertise. He described the resulting voyages as experiences where the golf is designed to be every bit as memorable as the journey itself, covering the British Isles, the Mediterranean, and the South Pacific.

Is the Golf Package Separate from the Standard Silversea Fare?

The PerryGolf package is an add-on to the standard Silversea cruise fare and is not included in the base All-Inclusive rate. Guests who join the voyage without booking the golf package sail under standard Silversea terms and are not obligated to participate in any of the golf programming. Partners who are not golfers are welcome on the voyage and are included in some of the social elements of the PerryGolf program, such as onboard gatherings, when scheduling permits.

The program is designed to operate alongside regular Silversea voyages rather than replacing them, meaning the full onboard experience, including S.A.L.T. culinary programming, the Otium spa, butler service in every suite, and all standard dining and drinks, remains available to everyone on board.

If you are planning to join any of the three inaugural itineraries, early booking is advisable: tee time allocations and golf package slots are finite, and demand from golfers who have been waiting for a program like this is expected to be strong. Book your luxury golf cruise with OLA Vacations.
