Princess Cruises has opened bookings for its 2028 Europe cruise season, marking the largest Europe deployment in the company’s history.

The program includes 291 departures across 150 itineraries, ranging from 7 to 53 days. In total, guests can visit 128 destinations across 37 countries, with sailings covering Northern Europe, the Mediterranean, and Transatlantic routes.

The season also includes 32 late-night and overnight stays, giving travelers more time in port destinations compared to standard cruise itineraries.

Expanded Fleet Deployment Across Europe

Six Princess Cruises ships will operate the 2028 Europe season, sailing from 13 departure ports:

  • Caribbean Princess
  • Enchanted Princess
  • Majestic Princess
  • Regal Princess
  • Sky Princess
  • Sun Princess

These ships will operate a wide mix of itineraries across short regional sailings and longer voyage experiences.

New Ireland Port Calls Expand Northern Europe Network

The 2028 deployment introduces maiden calls to Galway and Killybegs on Ireland’s western coastline.

These additions expand Princess Cruises’ Northern Europe footprint into smaller regional ports, offering access to destinations that are less frequently included in mainstream cruise itineraries.

53-Day Pole-to-Pole Odyssey Introduced

A key highlight of the season is the introduction of the 53-day Pole-to-Pole Odyssey.

This voyage connects Antarctica and the Arctic in a single itinerary, representing one of the most ambitious long-duration sailings in Princess Cruises’ portfolio.

The itinerary reflects the growing role of extended voyage formats within global cruise deployment strategies.

Northern Europe Itineraries Focus on Port Depth

Northern Europe sailings in the 2028 season include destinations across Norway, Iceland, the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, and Ireland.

Selected itineraries feature extended port stays in cities such as:

  • Stockholm
  • Amsterdam
  • Copenhagen
  • Hamburg
  • Belfast
  • Tromsø
  • Reykjavik

These longer stays allow for more flexible shore exploration compared to standard turnaround schedules.

Mediterranean Deployments Cover Core Cultural Routes

The Mediterranean program includes itineraries across Western and Eastern Europe, with calls at major destinations such as:

  • Barcelona
  • Athens
  • Dubrovnik
  • Lisbon
  • Florence / La Spezia
  • Istanbul
  • Mykonos
  • Valletta
  • Ibiza
  • Split
  • Ephesus

Many sailings include overnight or late-evening stays, extending time in key cultural and historical destinations.

Destination-Focused Shore Experiences

Across the 2028 season, Princess Cruises will offer a range of destination-led shore experiences designed to reflect local culture and traditions.

Examples include culinary experiences with Italian families, Sami cultural experiences in Northern Norway, and artisan workshops in the Netherlands.

These experiences are positioned as part of a broader effort to increase destination engagement beyond traditional sightseeing.

Transatlantic Sailings Connect Major Regions

The Transatlantic program connects Europe with the Americas and includes calls in destinations such as the Canary Islands, Madeira, the Azores, Bermuda, and Morocco.

These itineraries combine ocean crossing segments with destination-based cruising across multiple regions.

Early Booking Incentives for 2028 Sailings

Princess Cruises is offering an early booking promotion for Europe 2028 sailings, available from June 2 through October 12, 2026.

The offer includes:

  • Up to $500 instant savings
  • Up to $500 onboard credit

Outlook

The 2028 Europe season reinforces Princess Cruises’ continued expansion across multiple European cruise regions, combining high-volume deployment with increased itinerary diversity and extended port stays.

The season reflects a continued industry shift toward longer voyages and more destination-intensive cruise experiences across Europe.
